How to setup a completely secure online wallet for any coin in windows

Wallet security in the altcoin world is one of the most important tasks a user has to master. It must provide peace of mind and readily available funds at the click of a button. The following tutorial will show you how to make a sandbox in a windows 7 installation and install any wallet you want to. We will in sense create a secure and clean Windows 7 installation running inside Windows 7.

Go to the VirtualBox website and download VirtualBox 4.3.18 from the Downloads section on the left hand side of the website. When the download completes nstall virtualbox by clicking on the downloaded file. After that launch the program from your desktop.

Click on New and the following window will show up. Here you can choose a name and a version for the os you want to install. Write a name and choose the options in the following picture.

Click next and now choose the amount of Ram. Red is danger. Green is OK

Click Next and choose to create a virtual Drive

Click create and a new window will show up. Choose the 1st option and click next. Now either choose fixed or dynamically. I prefer dynamical so the wallet files will determine how much disk space is required.

Click next and now choose the amount you want to allocate for your virtual hard disk, after doing this give it a name and click create

Now we need to configure it so click on settings

Choose storage on the left panel and choose the CD icon that says Empty

Now Click on the CD icon on the far right and choose DVD/CD and click OK

Now Click on the Start Button and boot from your CD. Do not forget to insert your CD

The Virtual Machine will now start windows 7 installation. In the first screen that appears you must choose language type time and currency formats and keyboard input methods. After doing that click next.

In the following screen choose x86 or x64 depending on your processor type and click next.

After that accept the licence agreement box and click next.

 Then choose custom installation to install a new version of Windows.

Choose Partition for installation there must be only one for you since we are inside the virtual machine and click drive options.

New icons will appear next to drive options button. click format and wait for it to finish. Then click next.

 Wait for the installation to finish and choose a username and a computer name.

Type a password for your account, you can also Type a password hint to help in case of forgetting the password in the future, and then click Next.

Type in activation code or key for your license in Product key box if you have any. Click Next.

Choose how to protect your Windows. Here we choose Use recommended settings.

Set up your Time zone then click Next.

Choose an option from 3 choices: Public Network, Work Network, Home Network. Choose Home Network.

Now windows is started connected to the internet and ready to download you favorite wallet.
